..Determined..

Ronnie is not one of those children that is...let's say "passionate" about many things. He doesn't get really stuck on anything.  He's very intelligent and he gets bored easily.  So imagine our suprise when he taught himself to do this...

...in less than a day!

Nelson took the training wheels off and ran with him one time.

"I want to do it myself Dad.  Don't help me anymore."

He spent the entire morning practicing by himself, and in less than 3 hours, had mastered bike riding.

Now, there is most definitely an alterior motive here.  See, Ronnie is also not the type of child to something just because.  No, he has to get something out of it.

So, what could possibly motivate a child like this to ride a bike sans training wheels in only a matter of hours?

THIS!

His Grandpa Mangum bought a "Ronnie Sized" dirt bike for his grandkids (but Ronnie is the only one big enough to ride it right now, so he thinks it's his) and told him he could ride it when he learned how to ride a bike. (Note: bike is not exact depiction of the one now haunting my dreams at night)

Go figure! The boy never cared to learn to ride a bike, but he couldn't wait to ride the motorcycle.

So he learned to ride a bike!
(I might be able to blame Grandpa Evans for this passion. Not that it's a bad thing, I was just hoping he would be a bit older when it hit.)

Whatever the reason, we are so proud of him!  Way to go Ronnie!
(Mom's still not so sure about the motorcycle though.)
