Goat Babies Are Here!

Yogi had twins this morning. Two boys! The buck she was bred to threw 90% boys this year(at least from the several goats I know he was bred to). Bummer, we were really hoping for girls, but they are still adorable. Delivery went great, I only had to help the first baby a tiny bit. Yogi is a great mom! Nelson missed the birth again...he is really bummed out.
These pictures were taken just after they were born.

Nothing Says Spring Like a Fluffy Yellow Chick...

...and the smell of fresh cut grass
...and spring rainstorms with thunder and lightning
...and dogwood blossoms
...and cool spring evenings in the yard
...and new baby calves
...and wild daffodils
...and gently flowing streams
...and early morning dew
...and the sound of children playing outdoors
I LOVE SPRING!
Almost as much as I love fall...it's a real close match up.

Split Personality

This "Do" is very fitting of Ryland for two reasons...he has two very distinct personalities.
Personality #1

An absolute angel. Incredibly affectionate. Loves to give hugs and snuggle. Very "Momma's boy". Shares and plays well. Very good natured. Sensitive. Brightest smile.
Personality #2

Hell on wheels with an attitude. Terrible tantrums. Zero patience. Grumpy when hungry. Mischievous. Ear splitting screamer. Two(even though not technically for another 4 months).
But...I ABSOLUTELY ADORE HIM!

Try to ignore the snot running down his nose. In all my awesome mom-ness, somehow I didn't realize his nose was running, either that or it has run so much lately I just sub-consciously ignored it.

*Dad argues that I really shouldn't style him this way. What will I tell him when he comes home with a radical hair do when he's 16 and I can't back up my disapproval because he can pull out these pictures. What do you think?

Eggs...for Easter

Aunt Casadee.
Note the look on Dad's face, Ryland just cracked the egg on the table.
Putting lots of stickers on our eggs....requires much concentration.

Falling Apart!

I have officially been married long enough, and am getting old enough, that all my "things" are breaking and falling apart.
Hand mixer...been dropped numerous times...finally falling apart.
Stereo system...may have gotten wet a few times courtesy of my six year old...no longer makes sound.
TV...incessant ringing sound...totally annoying.
Computer...loosing it's memory, way slow...keeps crashing.
Food processor...only worked three times...won't shut off.
Washing machine...won't drain...sock suspected of foul play.
Body...sadly getting older...not what it used to be.
Garage...keeps filling with water when it rains.
Furniture...scratched...kid stained.
Carpet...no one will take their shoes off...needs therapy.
Piano...needs tuned.
And as if that's not enough...
This morning...
Ability to cope with it all...broke too!
Major melt down!
CHOCOLATE THERAPY!!!

First Maternity Shoot

Here are the results of my first Maternity shoot...courtesy of my sister's ever growing belly. (Count down has begun...only 17 days to go!)
I personally thought they turned out totally awesome! These are just a few of my fav's as the photographer, you can see more on Casadee's blog.

Funny Faces!

I jumped in on the funny face fun this morning with Ronnie.
He loves to make funny faces, that's for sure (and he looks much better doing it than I do).

Ryland

Ryland is not too fond of the flash, so he usually ends up making this "scream" face in a lot of his pictures. He screams "aaaahh" every time the flash goes off.

Testing 1-2-3

Setting up for Casadee's maternity photo shoot, the boys were my Guinea pigs while I set my camera for lighting. Again with the Ronnie poses, it's all about the show these days! He makes me laugh every time I look at his pictures.

A little ditty here...a litty ditty there...what ever we feel like sharing.
