..Smile..

Music is such an integral part of my soul.
I never mastered the piano, and I don't sing like a madrigal,
but I am passionate about what music adds to my life.

It reminds of fond memories or loved ones.
It brightens the worst of days.
It relays messages there aren't words to speak.
It touches the heart to the very core.
It inspires imagination.
It invites the spirit.
It provides fun and entertainment, or rest and relaxation.
It evokes emotion.
There's no end to what music can do.
And this year, it's my motto!

Here are the lyrics to the song I am choosing to live each day by.
My personal ballad...even though it's not technically a ballad.  Oh, well!

SMILE
by: Charlie Chaplin

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

My perfect little family makes me smile!

So tell me! What makes you smile?

i LOVE that you posted that song. That song is very near and dear to my heart. When I am feeling at my worst, I sing that song. I had it playing when we moved from St. George because I needed that reminder to Smile, though my heart was aching... Thanks for that reminder to "Just Smile"

YOU make me smile. And my family, nature, music, good books, feeling the Spirit, and being with people I love. I miss you Morgan!

You do Morgan. Thanks for helping me out last minute on Sunday. 10 kids is too many for any one person. Sank you, sank you.

Oh and Date nights, seeing my kids sit reverently in church, a finished project, nothing in the laundry baskets, planning a vacation, spending time with friends and family, watching the seasons change, noticing that I have been blessed, when my kids obey, teaching my neice to blow kisses, when my husband really sees me, I smile.
