..Hic'm'ups..

Masen gets the hic-ups more than any baby I have ever met.

Atleast a dozen times a day.

Poor kid!

..Peanut Butter Jelly Time..

How to eat a Peanut Butter Jelly Sandwich when you are 2!
Begin by licking all the jelly and peanut butter off the bread, successfully getting most of it on your face.
Show mom your mouthful of gooey goodness...
...and make funny faces while she tries to capture the "momentous" occasion on film.
If' you're in the mood that day, eat the bread.
If you have chosen to eat the bread, stuff as much into your tiny mouth as possible.
Now go make your own PB& J and follow suit!

Gone are the days...

...when I saw sweet, peaceful, chubby baby faces like this!

Now my days are filled with faces like this...

...and screeching sounds, the likes of which there are actually no words to describe

and tantrums galore, by both 2 and 6 years old alike

and softball = bloody nose

and a whole tube of blue toothpaste on my freshly cleaned carpets

and crayons on my table, couch and walls

and blue sharpie colored tongues and teeth

and garden hoses sprayed through open windows (with big brothers help and encouragement of course)

and brotherly "love"

and putting the same toys away 50 times a day

and hair gel on the floor

and an entire bottle of sunscreen used as lotion

and broken glasses in the sink - so helpful

(mind you most of these happen within mere seconds of my absence, he's only 2, but I know he strategically plans his moves!)

...and somehow watching this scoot past my window over and over and over again...

MAKES IT ALL WORTHWHILE!

..Ho-Hum..

I am having a difficult time coming out of my slump this go around. I have slumps and lumps like regular girls have "girl cycles". See, to all those who are jealous that I don't have to deal with Aunt Flo, I didn't get off scott free! This time, I'm just not getting any closer to the horizon. I just keep climbing and feeling like I am getting no where. Foggy brain, can't sleep at night, want to sleep all day, don't get anything accomplished, even when I do it doesn't seem to help, boys are driving me crazy, totally "hubby-sick", want to cry, no one to cry to. Ho-Hum!
I don't know if it's just the rain or...
Yeah, maybe it's just the rain!

..The New Do..

Sometimes change is just what we need. I have had boring, blah long hair that didn't suit me for a long time now. I wanted long hair so badly, I was scared to cut it, but it just doesn't "go" with me. I think this looks much better, and it's so versatile, and bouncy, and full, and flirty, and young, and fresh, and...you get the point. I'm excited about doing my hair for the first time in a long time!!!

..Summer Walks..

Airplane in the Sky
A Shady Break
There's a baby in there somewhere
Awww...there he is
Walking the dog?
Nope...the goat. Practicing for the pet parade on Friday
Stopping for "Loves"
Chillin' in the shade...again. You'd think it was hot or something
Bumming a ride
There's something in my shoe
No more walking for Ryland

Match made in Heaven

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching my sister in her new role as mother. I always knew she would be a great mother, kids are just her thing! We tried to take a few photos the other day, unfortunately, as babies will, Masen decided he didn't want to, so we didn't get to take a lot. We'll try again soon. I just wanted to share a few of my fav's from the pic's we did get.
On the flip side...Ryland is just not sure what to think of this new little thing that is stealing away all his attention. He can't decide if he's curious or jealous...it usually ends with him choosing the latter, which results in a tantrum the size of Texas. The other day, he threw one on the top step because Casadee couldn't pick him up. He screamed until he fell asleep...right there on the step!

Bragging...Just a little!

Masen's baby blanket is finally finished. I was having a race with Cas to see who would finish first, me with the blanket, or her with the birth. I was working on it in the hospital, I had it in the bag, Masen was taking his sweet time arriving...then I ran out of yarn, just two rows short! Darn it! Better late than never, and I think it turned out really cute!

A little ditty here...a litty ditty there...what ever we feel like sharing.
